It's Time to Retrieve Student Belongings

Curbside PickupWe are happy to announce that the time to retrieve student belongings from OVES is here! Please help us to stay healthy by following the schedule and guidelines below.

Staff members will be collecting student personal belongings, recorders, ordered yearbooks and other items as they come into their classrooms in the next two weeks. As these items are collected, staff members are placing them in large, paper grocery bags labeled with each student’s name. These bags will be placed in the gym until they are distributed on the days below.

Please help us by making every effort to come pick up student belongings on the day assigned to your child. If you have children in multiple grades, you may pick them all up on the first day assigned to you. Please do not come to the school on days other than those assigned.

In keeping with social distancing guidelines, we have very limited staff in the building and may not be available to retrieve items for you on different dates. When you come to pick up student belongings, please pull into the bus loop. A staff member wearing
a face mask will come to your car. Please do not exit your car, instead just roll down the window. The staff member will ask you for your child’s grade, teacher and name. Your child’s belongings will be brought out to you while you wait in your car in the bus loop.

Students in 3rd and 4th grade should keep their Chromebooks and chargers at home over the summer and return them to school in the fall. Staff members will NOT collect Chromebooks or chargers brought to them from these grade levels, unless your family is moving out the OVES attendance zone. Students in 5th grade should return their Chromebooks and chargers to school on the day they are assigned to pick up their materials. 5th grade families that do not return a Chromebook will be billed for the cost of the device. Any library books that have not already been returned to OVES can be given to staff members at this time too.

We are disappointed about the way that this school year has ended, but we are also proud of the way in which our Cardinal Community has come together to do the best for our kids! Thank you!

Monday, June 8 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Kindergarten and 5th Grade Families
Tuesday, June 9 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - 1st and 4th Grade Families
Wednesday, June 10 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - 2nd and 3rd Grade Families
